What the verified badge means

The purple check-seal next to a person’s name means our team has checked that account holder’s identity, their organization’s credentials, and their payout setup. The badge follows them everywhere their name appears on Givvent.

Verified people have passed an additional layer of scrutiny beyond the standard campaign review. It’s a strong trust signal, but it is a signal about the person, not a guarantee of a campaign’s outcome.

We always encourage donors to read the campaign story, look at updates, and use their own judgment before giving, verified or not.
