Common questions, answered

How do donations reach the charity?
Each donation is routed to the campaign’s connected Stripe account via Stripe Connect. After Givvent’s 2.5% platform fee and Stripe’s processing fee (2.9% + $0.30), the remainder reaches the charity — or the full amount if the donor covers the fees. Stripe then pays out to the organizer’s bank automatically.
Are there any fees?
Two separate fees apply per donation: Givvent’s 2.5% platform fee and Stripe’s payment processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30. There are no upfront or subscription costs, and donors can choose to cover both fees so the campaign receives 100% of the gift.
Can I give anonymously?
Yes. Anonymous gifts keep your name private on the campaign page while still counting toward the fundraiser total.
How do I reset my password?
Use the forgot password flow to request a time-limited reset link. The token expires automatically and the old password stops working after the reset.
How does verification work for charities?
Verified campaigns are checked against identity, organization, and payout information before the badge is enabled in the UI.
