What "cover the fees" means at checkout

When you tick "cover the fees," a small amount is added on top of your intended gift so that, after Givvent’s 2.5% and Stripe’s 2.9% + $0.30 come out, the campaign receives exactly what you meant to give. The option is on by default, and your total charge is always shown clearly before you confirm.

If you untick it, the fees come out of your donation instead, and the campaign receives the remainder. Either way there are no surprises. The payment sheet shows the exact breakdown before you pay.
