Understanding fees

Givvent’s platform fee is 0%: we don’t take a cut of your donation. The platform runs on optional tips donors can add at checkout. The one third-party cost on every card payment is Stripe’s processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. There are no upfront costs, no monthly subscriptions, and no hidden charges, ever.

Here’s a worked example. On a $100 donation where the donor doesn’t cover the costs: Givvent takes $0.00, Stripe’s fee is $3.20, and the campaign receives $96.80. If the donor covers the costs instead, $3.30 is added to their charge and the campaign receives the full $100. A tip to Givvent, if the donor adds one, is always on top and never comes out of the gift.
