Nonprofit tax receipts

Updated July 19, 2026

When you give to a verified nonprofit on Givvent, your donation is processed through our nonprofit giving partner, a registered charitable entity, which makes the gift tax-deductible in the United States.

The official tax receipt is emailed to you by the giving partner after your donation completes. Keep it for your records. It’s the document you’ll use at tax time.

Donations to personal campaigns are different: they’re gifts to an individual and are generally not tax-deductible. Only gifts made through the nonprofit path carry a charitable receipt.
